Things to do in and around Forrest Beach ...
Ingham is located in the heart of the sugar-cane region and features fantastic beaches such as Lucinda, Forrest and Taylors beach, and Broadwater Park in the Herbert River Valley. Hinchinbrook Island is regarded as the world's largest island national park and for the ultimate challenge hike along the island, considered one of the world's seven best wilderness walks. The seaside town of Lucinda is the southern gateway to the Hinchinbrook Channel and Hinchinbrook Island. About 1 hour's drive west of Ingham lies Wallaman Falls - Australia's highest sheer drop waterfall plunging 268 metres into the Herbert River Gorge - a spectacular sight. |
